Tyre Pressure Monitors

Anyone using tyre pressure monitors?

How reliable are they, rugged enough to last.

I was looking at them as well, this is the one I'll be going with. I don't believe they should be used in the place of pre trip inspections but I do a lot of highway riding so for me it is a little piece of mind while I'm rolling.

Now to find an easier way to check and fill the rear tire!!! What a pain in the a$$.........

Next time you have the tyre off, rotate the valve 180 degrees, then the disk brake won't be in the way.

Also - I've got a short flexible extension I can put on the valve first, easier to get the gage on to check the pressure.

What is also nice is that you can replace the batteries in the sensors as well instead of having to buy new sensors.

What is optimal tyre temperature?

Or what temperature are recommended pressures based on?

I read Pirelli’s Diablo Supercorsa or Metzeler’s Racetec, have a optimal temperature somewhere between 80˚c and 120˚c.

But what about the tyres on our Rockets?
