Hey all!

Its been a while since I was last here. Life happens I guess.

So.....

I've had the front left winker out for a while. Replaced the bulb to no avail. Tonight I did some trouble shooting and took the lens, bulb, and reflector assembly out.

It turns out that there isn't a 'socket' inside for the bulb. The wires have there springy crimp on ends basically just slipped on to the back of the plastic reflector. If you don't install the bulb carefully and correctly, you can catch the ground contact and literally rip it out of the reflector breaking the reflector as it happens.

I don't need new winker housings, i need new winker reflectors! Really only 1, but 2 to be safe - I'll have one on hand if the other goes.

Hunting for these is fruitless - I can't seem to find just the reflectors on even EBay. There are complete housings, but for $100 a pair. So, are there any aftermarket winker assemblies for the front? I've the light bar kit installed - the main headlight, two side spots and under the side spots hang the winker housings.

Thanks!

Matt

The parts drawing for a US spec 2008 Touring shows the following: The bulb (6) (amber) and lens (5) can be purchased seperately, but the reflector (3) is a complete assembly. That is part # T2705585 (it also fits Thunderbird). Adept shows them on backorder so it's unlikely you'll find even the whole assembly available. Next step is probably looking for salvage yards with any T-Birds or Rocket III's. Don't be surprised if they charge you 80% of retail for parts not guranteed to work.

I saw the 1600 & 1700 Thunderbirds use the same winker. It’s on the rear if anyone else should go looking.

Going to stop by a shop to see what the aftermarket has to offer. It’s a Harley shop, but I can make things work.
