How timely. Alain just put up a new bikes list. It has the Rocket III TFC. Bluetooth connection with the Android version. No read or write to the ECU. No maps yet.

Sad to say the tuning and performance industry at least in the USA is getting strangled. Many OEM companies received large penalties for their “off-road, race application” parts and accessories.

Also, the EPA has gone after many small companies that alter the vehicles emissions equipment. Often with incredibly harsh fines.

New ECU’s are required to be made “tamper proof”.

It won’t be long before we are attempting to put carburetors on our bikes!

Dynojet stopped selling O2 eliminators because of the EPA but they still sell power commanders.

Was there a 2300 TFC?
Hmmm not sure! Someone here will know though :) Either way Tune Ecu doesnt work with current Rocket 3 properly. If you do an adaption it throws up a P0315 error, knocks the cruise control out as well as the hill hold function.... Not sure why it would be different on a 2.5 TFC, but it might be!

Doing an adaptation is changing something in the ECU. You would think TuneECU either wouldn’t connect or wouldn’t allow you to attempt these operations. When the bike list says bluetooth but no reading or writing to the ECU, it’s saying all you can do is look at the sensors.

Yes it doesnt make sense.... or maybe the manufacturers are trying to stop people playing with their bikes?.... I have mine booked in at the end of the month to clear the faults. I wont do it again!

has anyone tried the obd code readers. the ones that retrieve/clear codes and read small amount of oem data?
