Correct, in Germany you cannot deviate from standard fitment at all, it's same here in the UK in a lot of places but if you buy your tyres elsewhere, places will fit them. I have ordered Bridgestones for mine, from Germany of all places but they don't know what I am using them on I guess

www.tyreleader.co.uk (they are in Germany, dont let the .co.uk fool you) if anyone is looking, quick delivery and couldnt find them cheaper anywhere else.
LEGALLY - same here. EXCEPT if the rolling circumference is within 3% (This is an EU ruling). So for example a 200/60 is (on paper) the same as a 240/50.

My Tyre place will get and fit what ever I want - no Questions asked.

I have 2 sets of wheels - 1 with Metzlers on - because I was concerned. But as it transpires some MoT places don't look very hard :whitstling:. I'd not try a C/T at the MoT though.

Oh and your tyre places is called NeumaticosLider.es : Neumáticos baratos | Neumáticos al mejor precio here

I was taught that "If you don't have anything good to say about someone (or someones bike in this case),
then don't say anything at all" - so I'm just biting my lip....
