Transmission Problem...? Crap!

WELL you have a point no point in rebuilding using stock parts nows your chance to build the engine of your dreams . CARPENTER can do the complete build for you and do all the upgrades sounds like the best plan
Let me do my due diligence, and I will likely be giving you a call. Thanks.

I pulled the radiator today. I'll get the front cover off tomorrow. I'll update if I find something.
Hey Dave when you take the front cover off check to see if the detent spring is broke or not. Also if you take some pictures of the clutch basket and cam chain guides we will be able to tell if anyone has done any updates to her. Especially the cam outboard chain guide the adjuster side. The update kits changed the guide.

Also if your not going to build a engien and want to consider buying one and stuff her in the bike I would look at something like this

11 Triumph Rocket Motor * GUARANTEED * 3 III #234 Engine

It is out of a touring 12k on her but has all the updated stuff in her already. If your bike is in great shape it is worth thinking about. You can find older motors but if they are not updated you could be rolling the dice or spending the money to update it before you put it back in.

I saw this one for sale on EBay. The front cover is off, can you tell if it has had the update?

If I were you, and I'm glad I'm not, I'd be sick. While it's enticing to think about turning a bad situation good by rebuilding what you have and adding the Carpenter goodies, I'd have to think real hard not just about the money but the time and energy to get it all done. If it's what you were hoping or planning to do anyway then go for it, if it's only a thought as a result of your misfortune, I'd take Warp9.9's advice and try to get the 2011 motor GAURANTEED on Ebay and simply swap them out. Afterwards, put your block up for sale for someone who really wants to monkey with it for their own reasons. You would then get something to put towards the newer motor and it might not sting so bad? Hell, I might buy it and send it off to Carpenter.
Just my thought, sorry for you and others that have had this transmission thing happen to an otherwise incredible machine.

CARPENTER gets a lot of Rockets that failed because of never being upraded so thats the perfect time to do all the mods and upgraqdes then you know2 what you have its all new with all the upgrades and the engine mods and you have your dream engine with every thing you always wanted so its whatever you want to accomplish

I will be cracking it open probably tonight or tomorrow. I would like to discuss in a PM if you are ok with that.
