TPS test and replace

High idle, no idle, sporadic runing say at a consistant rpm do to false signals making the ecu jump around on the fueling table since it is forgetting where it is on the throttle position which will make it feel like its missing but your plugs are fine and you already verified the coil leads are on tight.

image.jpeg image.jpeg This is what I got just now when I connected, with the ignition on but the motor not running the TPS is zero, when I turn the throttle the TPS needle seems to be smooth, when I have the motor running and turn the throttle the TPS is still zero I have to snap the throttle open to get the TPS to register. image.jpeg

Warp9.9, what do you mean by shimmed straight when replacing the TPS.

Its just a shim that sits underthe screw mount area. With tolerances in manufacturing if the tps or casting and or macining of the throttle body housing arenot on the same plane the TPS could be mounted and the screw could cock the tps whivh could make it bind and wear prematurly. Especially if it is torque to much
IMO a shim can eliminate it. I can not confirm it with amy better pictures whih are home on my lap top. I can say this tps has been on the engine for 44,000 miles and still finctioning properly. My 07 rocket has one also and was installed with a new TPS when he had sporadic problems and it functions well.

Anyway when you do not get a green light switch to the test page and double click the fan testand tell me if the fan turns on and runs the test.

Warp9.9, good photos explain it well. Later today I will be back trying to sort this TPS light out.
I was hoping you would understand because I only have a phone and drawing wth my finger is clumsy. But in the picture below at the end of the arrow you can see the bronze bushing sticking up out of the throttle body casting. Yeller arrow. Depending on the tolerance if it is higher then the TPS srew pad then I believe you can pull the TPS into a bind which could produce premature wear.

Of course again I am not a technician just a Tool & Die Maker but I muddle thru as much as I can.

Warp9.9, I cut up a coke can and made a very nice spacer that did the job.
I still can not get the TPS green light to come on in Tune ECU, I clicked on adjust ISCV and adjusted the TPS to 6.2, then clicked on to read the ISCV it is 7.1
The motor idles nice, have not had it on the road yet to see if the hesitation is any better.
Is there something I am not doing to get the TPS light on.

Yes, when I clicked on the fan on the test screen the fan did start.
