Hello Jim and welcome from Virginia. Good call on that information, many are not aware of speed ratings.

Please go over to the introduce yourself area and tells us about yourself and bike/s.

I went ahead and ordered Avons this time to try them out anyway from tireexpress.com. Obviously, if I don't like them, I'll be back to Metzlers.

OH.. I also know that the new Suzuki C109RT is running Bridgestone Exedra G852 rear tire. 240/55-16. I looked and looked for this, but coudn't find it readily available yet. Once this tire is available, I believe it will be cheaper. Although, I don't think it's V rated. They also have a G701 front tire, 150/80-17 for the Valkyrie that will fit ours.

Dang.. I should have called the local Suzuki dealer first.. :)

Rockmountain ATV $195 Bridgestone 240's free shipping

I thought the Avons were suppose to be cheaper or at least give the Metz a run for the money. It looks like they are higher, the only way I would switch is if they lasted twice as long.

The Avon Cobra tires do cost more, and they do last longer, and they do make a big improvement in the handling. Spend the money for them.

These guys seem to have the best current pricing for the ZR (W) rated B'stone Exedra Max, also with free shipping... Bridgestone Rear Exedra Max 240/55ZR-16 Blackwall Tire - 004710 Motorcycle Goldwing - Dennis Kirk, Inc.

Whats up with my Triumph shop? The say they can't get the front in an exedra Max in the proper size.
I am new to Triumph and anyone heard this problem? My dealer says she has to check the 2016 book.

Any advice would be appreciated....BTW...Did not know exedra maxs came Z rated!

Thanks...Greg

PS...Need to make a move....Got sold a 07 with BALD metzlers!

you have a couple options on being going with a 140 front which will improve the flick-ability of the beast. As for the Exedra front your dealer is right if your wanting a V rated tire. The Avon cobra 150/80Vr17 works well with the exedra max rear 240/55/Vr16. When it comes to the 140 sizes I have seen then run the Michelin Commander II and I think Avon has a 140 cobra also. Myself I have settled on the Avon 150 for quite some time now and the Exedra Max in the rear.

Hope this helps

Warp..Thanks.....I rode the short bus and I can not find the AV71's in a 150/80vr17....A. Do they still make the 150/80Vr17 and if I go with the 140 what exact tire would you recommend in the Avon....

My dealer is nice people but slow to update me and I need to get some tires quick so I can get my first ticket!

Thanks so much!

They sell them everywhere leave the V out 150/80/R17 in the details you will see it is a steal belted radial. The Avon 140/75R17 is a AV71 also and V rated
