Tire pressure

Whats the tyre pressure for a set of cobra tyres 140 front and standard rear i swear i will right it down this time
 
34 F & 42 R is the factory recommendation.
 
I take it the higher front pressure is to do with it being a smaller tyre than stock
 
Factory tyres are not Avon's so I've often wondered whether factory pressures are correct for other tyre combinations. I run Cobras too.
 
Since I ride mostly solo now days, and I have the 140 tire up front, I use 38 PSI front and rear. This PSI has been working quit well for me. Getting 10 Thousand miles on the back tire and 12 Thousand to 14 Thousand miles on the front. I have done a Track Day, Gone to the drag strip 6 times and have done a Dyno pull on my current set of tires.

2.6 bar (38psi)
Front size:
150/80R17 (72V)
Rear Tyre
Cobra
Pressure rear:
3.0 bar (44psi)
Rear size:
240/50R16 84V
 

Just sayin' . . .
The design specs of the motorcycle are precedent over the tire specs.
