Tips on Audio System anyone?

Whenever I am riding with any of the "cool" loud radio owners, I find myself repetitively checking my bike for malfunction from weird intermittent sounds. When riding anywhere nearby someone with a loud radio....it makes for a lot of indiscernible noise with all the wind and road sounds causing significant irritation.

The wife and I sport Shark Evoline 3's with the Scala G9's...love them both! Range is great even when we get a little separated by traffic.

If I get separated from my wife in traffic it means she fell off :eek::eek:

Well.........That happened once too  We can laugh now, not so funny then :D That's also when she demanded a sissy bar, and I said hell no, get another bike :p At least she didn't go for another Harley (previously a sportster owner), but I did have to talk her out of the Ducati

I got the G9. Thought about one of the other models but got such a good price I went for the top of the line. The intercom is surprising clear even at many hundred metres, just doesn't like buildings in the way. Used the phone too at about 120 km/h on the highway. Amanda had to ask me if I was actually riding at the time. Only thing is its hard to hear your own voice at that speed.

I prefer no intrusions while I'm listening to the whirl of the engine and the deep tone of the exhaust. I don't have any type of audio in my muscle car for the same reason.

I like the idea of the systems that are inside the helmets.... that way I don't have to hear it.

The sound of the bike is better than any **** playing over the airwaves:D I am maybe missing the point but do some of you really get an intercom system so you can listen to your wife on the back:confused:

Who said anything about a wife? :D:D

I have the J&M handle bar speakers they are good for the driver with a windshield when you get up to interstate speed there not much for rider. Wife carries MP3 player that way she has total control of what she's listening to :) Here is the link they also have a lot of other types give you some ideas
