thinking of purchasing a pre-owned rocket 3 roadster

I bought a Pre-owned 2012 Roadster with about 630kms on the bike. I'm at 13,000kms now and have not had a single issue that required any servicing, the bike runs great an has been a very reliable starter and I'm very happy with it. The only issue I've had with it was when it was newer, it once stalled when I was pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop. It never happened again. I dont know how people keep saying "It eats tires" I am still on my original tires from when I bought the bike in 2013, they look like they have plenty of life left in them.

I also ride my Rocket like a grandma.

Hello Vrodguy and welcome from Virginia. You asked about reliability? My 2014 R3T has 39K on it now and I have had several small issues and one big one. The big one is due in part to my lack of deep cleaning the bike; something that plagues any bike that is not well cared for. I ride in any weather except snow and that allows road grim to work its way into everywhere. That caused me problem with the throttle bodies which are expensive to replace. I do not say this to run you away but to help you learn from my mistakes in not cleaning when I should. Such a simple action can prevent a big wallet wound.

Otherwise, I love to use it for commuting and long trips by myself or two-up. It is an awesome bike all around.
