The Stepper motor
I have pulled the rubber back and gave the area a good spay of WD40, then relocated the rubber. The steeper motor operation only affects the idle, is that correct.

Mostly yes
If u disconnect the connector it will set codes and turn on the check engine light
 
anyone have the triumph number for the stepper motor?
or a good place to buy?
or one they don't want?

This is what shows on BikeBandit for my '06 Classic:

Now I see it says, "on backorder, none available".
