went on a ride today (fairly short only 100 miles) and when i got back i saw this odd blue looking grease on the radiator cowl. I thought to myself where could this be coming from. nothing else seemed to havethis grease on it. did a little more investigative work and found that the blue grease was coming from where the forks bolt to the frame (fork stem?). **** not even 200 miles on the bike and already something goes wrong. i hope it was just over packed and nothing is wrong because i really really really like this bike and would hate to have it down while parts are being ordered / installed. but other than that. I dont see a need for any more bikes in my future... ever my roadster and the dual sport should be it for me (maybe a scrambler to replace the xr250l )

Congratulations. I'm sure the grease isn't a problem - let's hope not anyway. Feel the same about my bike; that it will probably be my last (unless they release something bigger and badder). Just wait until you start to find the simple (and cheap) ways to make it go even better. You'll be in awe every time to hop on.

Congratulations I just got mine three weeks ago it an 05 less than 12000 miles and I scored it for 7500 bucks. Its amazing how much you can deal down a dealership in the middle of winter. Enjoy you riding

Canberrar3 thanks the exhaust is stalk to where the cat used to be. The rest is custom where is a pic of the other side of the bike. I love the sound it makes. I have been just getting everything readdy for summer. New plugs, serviced gear box, serviced the k and n's, and I also installed a relay to control the head lamps. There twice as bright now and the ignition switch will last longer now. I had heard that heat was building up the the ignition switch because of the head lamps if you want before and after pics just let me know.

to continue the saga. i was showing the bike off at work today and somebody said "typical triumph. always leaking" i said no way its a new bike.... well they weren't lying and one of the drain plugs was a tad loose. I tightened it up but the bike is low on oil now. what is the proper oil for break in on these bikes and i hope i haven't done damage by running it.
