Thats done butt...........

i did turn power on while the O2 sensor wires were not conected and the dynojet plug was not on. but i did not notice the light when i first started iguss i could have missed it though. i was mostly watching computer screen. can i clear the code and see if it pops it again? or do i have to buy a scanner code reader to clear codes ? also i had it hooked to a car battery with a trickle charger on, voltage did not dip below 12.7 the hole time she was hooked up. everything seemed to be great

ok drove the rocket twice now seems to run **** good, no pops or backfires, check engine light went out. again i will ask again does any body no if wayne tripps tune is timing corrected, i am not sure were it is on tune ecu. i assume it is being wayne sounds like the rocket 3 guru...:D and i would love to have him do a dyno tune fo me , but being from ohio means on hell of a road tripp .i do not have many options on tuners for rockets or dealers for that mater in quite a few hundred miles if that. does any body have picture of a exhaust gasket? i did not replace mine i asume they were inside of the exhaust port and copper.. i might have a verry slight tick i hear at idol. not a big concern. i am going to run this tune with out a dyno at this time or forever for that matter or untill a better tune comes around with new mods. i like the idea of the pc5 piggy back over the custome tune, maybe do that when money permits. if any body has anything to add let me no . thanks all in advanced:)

Its not copper or aluminum. I think is stainless. I think they can be reused, not sure but I will find out in about a week. :D

genuine triumph exhaust seal are copper compression gaskets and generally fitted with hi-temp silicon to help seal and I always replace if not putting same exhaust back on they are not expensive and your dealer should have in stock or a dealer like North county will happily ship them out toyou:)

thanks for the input i will get on it, need a good dealer or parts place to order from some what close to me but i dont think ill find any near toledo ohio:mad:

Brently,
we're talking about 2 different sets of gaskets.
The ones to hook the cat delete or even cat pipe up are the ones
Nolton posted the picture of and I commented on the differing sizes.
And they are woven stainless with a silver compound on them that bonds them to the exhaust pipe when heat gets em hot, to seal.
The ones Hans is talking about being copper,
are the ones leaving the head and hooking the manifold up to the motor,
those can be reused.
The other ones, the woven stainless ones,
I've never had much luck in reusing those.
I'd reorder those, cause one being bad keeps you from riding....
cheap enough and you'll need them eventually if you change out your exhaust more than once or twice anyway.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Maybe I have missed something but in his first post he said he had put Jardines on so why would he need the Cat delete or other gaskets except the Copper Ones in the exhaust ports which if going from a stock exhaust to Jardines DO NEED to be changed to get a proper seal,.... please correct me if I am wrong:rolleyes:
