Has anyone done a Tuneecu for dummies using android?

You actually need an USB-OTG adapter for the std TuneECU cable - what you plug into the port on the Galaxy is OTG, which has one more pin that micro-USB
So it MUST be OTG.

Yes, you can save and load maps with this cable to your Android

You CANNOT use Bluetooth with TuneECU to save/load maps - only Diagnostics.
i.e. you MUST use cable for loading maps.

If however you DO want to connect wirelessly with Bluetooth (for Diagnostics only) you would purchase an OBDII BLuetooth adapter.

No.... Then Bluetooth is no good for me. I need to use cables. How do I connect to my Samsung Galaxy 10 tablet, when it has no external USB port? Using an adapter, and connecting to the power-charging port on the tablet? That's the Micro-USB port? Is that how I connect cables to the tablet? I can use Wi-Fi to download the TuneECU software, and to download tunes, and save them on the tablet. Then, I load those tunes into the bike from the tablet by way of the cable connection between the tablet and the bike? Is that right? And my tablet's charging port, the Micro-USB port will allow this function? So the fact that my tablet does not have an external USB port, and only has its charging port, ( which is Micro-USB ), won't matter? Thank you... Russell

Once more - you need an OTG adapter, not micro-USB - they LOOK the same but are not.
It MUST be an OTG adapter to use TUneECU.
It WILL fit in your Tablet's 'charging' port.
You pick these up anywhere they sell electronics - BEST BUY, even Office Max, Target etc

Thanks DEcosse. I did get the "OTG" designation earlier. I should have repeated it, so you'd have realized I didn't miss that point, but what I was unclear on was whether the tiny Micro-USB of my tablet, ( once connected with the OTG cable adapter ), can perform the same tune reading and loading map functions as any other computer or laptop can using their external USB port? My tablet doesn't have an external USB port. It looks like you're telling me, the answer is "yes". That's great news. Now, I just have to buy my cable and the "OTG". What does OTG stand for, anyway? It's an acronym for something. Isn't it? Thanks DEcosse.

OTG is an acronym for On The Go. Bloody silly name.
I will be VERY surprised if a Galaxy Tablet does not have a 100% fully fledged OTG connector. Even my missus VERY cheap and nasty Tablet (free with something) has it. Not all phones however do.

Here btw is the difference How to: Make your own USB OTG cable for an Android smartphone – Tech2
Thanks very much for demystifying the acronym. I could kick myself. "On The Go". So simple, but here's what's not simple, ( for me ). My Samsung Galaxy 10 Tablet has no port, other than the Micro-USB charging port. So, there's nowhere else for me to connect any cable. If my Samsung tablet is "OTG" enabled, ( and, I hope it is ), does that mean I will then be plugging into my Micro-USB charging port to download maps into my R3T? Also, I read.your instructions on making my own OTG cable. Please, help me buy one. I'd rather buy one, than make my own. Final question. From the photographs I saw, it looks like you have a Touring Rocket too. Do you? I'm challenged by the need to raise my gas tank, so I can remove my oem air intake system, and replace it with K&N RU-2780's. The Roadsters have a much more accessible support structure beneath their gas tanks. Also, the Roadsters' speedos and ignition switches are out of the way, as well. The Touring Rockets have their speedos on top of their gas tanks, and their ignition switches are encased in a steel housing/molding. And, there are other moldings too, along the sides. All will be involved in raising the gas tank of a Touring Rocket. I'm going to need help with this. Please? Thank you... Russell

THAT is where the OTG plugs in.

You say Galaxy '10' - but what is exact model? There are Note 10, Tab S, Tab 3, Tab 4, TabPro 10 .....
I actually have the Tabpro 10 myself
