Yes here in New Zealand you are at the mercy of the importers. They go on about the cost of shipping seen we are so far away from everywhere else.

But I was happy as got the beast running sweet again.

I get all my parts in from Baxter Cycle in Iowa, even including the shipping and Tax when it gets here, parts are often way cheaper than buying locally.
