Tank pad or tank cover

I have the two side Kneepads fitted and the Leather Tank cover thingie (I wanted the pocket).

My only critiscism is that you really need to put something under the leather to stop it sliding about. The sliding generates micro-scratches. But with some stick on rubber pads - it's fine. A cover keeps the tank cooler too ime.

Do something more original. The standard R3 tank pad is an ugly lump of rubber, covers are awkward and don't last. Try a graphics outlet like Immortal Graffix like I did. MUCH more original and quite durable. MANY designs and themes.

Bike is in for a Nitrous set up at present. Will post pix when returned. My bike is somewhat edgy in look; lots of bling from Skull Enterprises here in Colorado. Custom billet Terminator skull and movable mandible replacing cheapie horn cover. Lots of carbon fiber as well. Hence, my selection for tank pad had to be in line with the rather dark general bike theme.

Dangerous Liasons

Yeah...know what you mean. Perhaps this demon reminded me of my EX and all the collateral damage that resulted! Anyway, when I get back to more finish work on the bike I'll post pix. Right now we are traveling in our Lex and Pace Arrow RV for a few more weeks before the inevitable return to the proverbial grindstone. No ridin' or bike mods. Got a dual nitrous kit coming up next month on the old girl though...maybe some LED (magenta or cobalt blue) lights for the billet Terminator skull sculpt that replaced the cheesy, plastic crap O.E. horn cover.

Check out the HUGE selection of other designs and art work at this site. You can even customize a tank pad with YOUR OWN submission they can adapt! Can't beat that!
