Super charger protection from elements?

Being there appears to be more super chargers over here..... Is anyone concerned about the belt and bearing open to the elements? Has anyone done anything to provide protection from direct contact with moisture and debris from the road to the drive belt and idler pulley? Or, am I being overly concerned?

Belt is quite well covered anyway but I upgraded to the new front plate with removable hydraulic clutch cover.
The belt is even more shrouded on this latest version, & it has better bearings.

Les who tuned the bike this time around? Oh and what compression ratio are your running now since you broke the crank. I am only asking because I just got a new set since I broke a piston. Detonation can be unhealthy on them buggers

Oh and stripes I have a older version of the cover not the first style that came out but with what shield it has I have never had a problem. As for the tensioner bearing Richard has changes a few times but I still run the original one and with 40,000 miles on it I have had no problem and will be putting it back on unless I can find different belts to suit my needs. One always has to do different things when he departs from the original design

Well hell ya I have a couple paper weights. Are you looking for a Stock paperweight or a heavy one I took the week off so I can work on the Falcon RAA9 is coming.

Since crank snapped have been running 10.2 pistons with S/C
Chucked in a set of 13.5 pistons along with different head/valves/cams & other stuff for over 300 hp N/A just for the crack. :RockOn:

Must be nice. I have to work on the Vampire unit adjustments as it has the ability to auto retard during boost and adjustable retard rate. I believe mine has been broken for quite a while but under boost I did not notice it The cylinder pressure without boost was 90 psi My thoughts are it happened when I was wheaning her off the 116 octane fuel when I broke the cam chain guide and pounded the pistons with the valves which was before I developed the modification to it. Hard saying though except I guess we will find out

**** stout motor though to run 10,000 miles on a broken piston.
