I think you are missing out on a great opportunity here. Find a bike that you really want for yourself, convince the wife it is the best bike for her, buy it, and in 3 months when she is tired of it...you have a new bike!!
We had one that my daughter rode but I thought the suspension was a little soft in the front end. We put some stiffer springs in it and it helped a lot. The sales manager has one that is all super up with carbon fiber wheels and it’s a red hot beast.
I have a 2010 Speedmaster. Dual front discs , 7" Headlight, low seat. Great bike but only problem is the stretch to the pegs. I had to relocate the pegs back 5" for comfort. I am 5' 11" with 31" inseam.
