Stocking Spare Parts

Well the Rumour mill over here is that the R3 is on the way off Triumphs product list, as it cannot meet the Euro 5 compliance.
I am not that worried about the spare parts supply, but I am keeping a spare (broken) motor.

In the end I guess that is he way to go.

Well, I have 3 Rockets, front and rear spare wheels, spare differential, spare water pump, sump pan, starter, and lot's of small parts.

Maybe throw a couple of tps sensors and detent springs into that spares pile Dawg.

I don't stock many parts that might involve what I would consider a major repair. Mainly just routine service items. Like several here, I try to keep piece of mind by maintaining my bike and carrying things that might come in handy on the road.

Both relay types, fuses, ignition bypass kit, extra throttle grip, tire repair kit and CO2 cartridges, tire gauge, volt ohm meter, electrical tape, flashlight, spare EB relay, scotch lock wire splices and small piece of electrical wire that could be used to bypass a clutch or side stand switch, a compact condensed set of tools and hex wrenches, a pdf of the service manual on my phone and electrical circuit diagram.

It sounds like a lot but I have it all neatly confined to 2 or 3 plastic containers in the bottom of my panniers. I'm still considering an extra pull throttle cable and clutch cable. Anything major, I rely on my road service policy from Good Sam's

I may be a little over the top, but it's not like you can find a Triumph dealer on every corner and the ones you do find don't carry much for parts. I would hate to be stuck along side of the road for want of a few simple parts I can easily carry.

There isn't much I can't handle on the road with this little set of tools.

Cool I can show the wifey this and maybe she way lay off me about the engine on a pallet in the basement next to a rocket :D good thing she doesn't have the key to the shop she'd notice a rocket down there and get confused especially since I took one to virginia with me? Ya I save parts :)

Mate it does NOT even meet Euro4 which is in effect in Europe as of Jan this year. AFAIK - you can no longer register a new one in all the EU. My guess is that what few bikes remain are already shipped off to the colonies and will be sold there.

Man it's great being an American in the good old USA!

That's exactly what the mechanic at the local dealer told me, sad really nothing out there that really pushes my buttons. It has been a long time since I have seen a bike and thought "I want one of those".
