My recently purchased 2015 Roadster ABS(only 8500 miles)has sprung a rear brake fluid leak. The previous owner claims to have never used rear brake as to why I found the rear reservoir was empty. Good grief, why me? Anyway, I filled it with DOT 4 and put about 500 miles on bike when I found, after recent ride, the brake fluid splashed onto my right side muffler and right side swing arm cover. Got home and reservoir showed half the fluid gone. So, I refilled reservoir and added a couple drops of tracing dye in hopes of getting a clue where the leak is. The ultraviolet flashlight only shows(bright green)possible leakage from under the metal reservoir cap. While examining the parts and looking for clues for the leak cause I found the rubber diaphragm part distorted and not fitting around the rim of the reservoir in front and backsides. I've ordered what Hermys calls the seal(diagram #8) and insert(diagram #10). What puzzles me is why does the diagram show the order of the installed parts different than what I found when opening up the reservoir diagram attached. What they show as the "insert" was under my cap and the part they call the "seal" is next under the insert. Their diagram shows the seal under the cap and the insert next under that. That is backwards from what Ifound and what I recently installed as to the order. Is their diagram showing the correct order?
