Spark plug leads

Looking to replace my leads on my 2012 roadster and not sure why I have to go OEM. Please correct me if I am wrong but what are the problems with using a non OEM lead other than length. Any other brands recommended if I am not completely wack?

They include the coil, not sure if all bikes use same voltage.

My 2011 roadster has removable leads. You can use any lead that's radio suppression to keep the resistance right
