I've got a 2005 that is running pretty well ( except for the ****ed ignition switch!) after 20,000 mi
with a shift clunk louder than my wife's harley
it sounded great after my 20,000 mi service, but within 100 miles it was back, just as clunky as ever. I've had no problems yet, but I agree that it is a shifter fit for a caveman.
