Shift linkage piece.

What is this piece on the shift linkage? It seems like foam, but maybe its rotted rubber? Where can one get these and do they need to be there?

Google 'World of Triumph'....parts...Rocket 3...and search in there.You may just get what you need from them.
 
It's a simple anti rattle thingie. Nylon washers. But from the reddish colour the link joint is toast. So make a new link with good rose joints and a bit of threaded bar. Shifting will get better.

I used WD40 to clean em out. Then worked in some lithium grease.
