In a former life I had to complete a Risk Management worksheet before a Boss would Ok my work Shenanigans..
Even with those precautions I've ended up in the Trauma Center 4 different times, (all from causes- outside of my control).
When I was a 16 year old rider I also almost lost a finger between the Bike and a Guardrail due to another dumb driver forcing me off the Road.
I promised my Wife I'd ride with full gear.
I'm so close to riding with a full Race Kit... because I already have a ton on metal throughout my body and cannot afford another trip with a Neurosurgeon.
My reasoning;
I've seen tons of Riders go down on the Track without the Rider suffering not even a scratch, (meaning the full kit works).
In addition to all those Idiot Drivers that Drive-by-Cellphone (it increases the risk exponentially here in AZ).
I might look a tad ridiculous but at my age frankly I don give a HOOT!
