Yeah I am going to start looking for a place soon. I can always throw a tent on the bike if needed. Cherokee is not far from there, and there are place to stay over near the Smokeys.

Keep in mind, in addition to our 'little group', there's two other rallies going on in the area that same weekend.... Asheville and MV.

The main motel has been booked up for a while, yes none Rockets are more than welcome.

yes the main hotel and the overflow are full ..... I would start with the confort inn in maggie valley it is directly across the street

Before we leave on any rides make sure you have applied everything to your body that you will need.
In this video we had to stop in the middle of a major highway with traffic held up for 20min the police finally told us to move on.
One more tip if you apply monkey butt powder to your hands do not wipe your hands on your black leather bags.

I spent the last two days reading this thread from end to end...just reading it all is entertainment enough, imagine being there. Which got me to thinking about my reservation, that I didn't make until the middle of February, by which time all the rooms were to have been long gone reserved.

I sent Rob & Gabi an email just to verify where my reserved room was...at the Holiday or across the street. It was confirmed that it is room #23. That seems a high enough number to be a safe distance from the "Pizza Room" and the "Rabbit Room".

Oh boy, I can't wait. I'm going to Triumph shop now to check on my Rocket...see if the fly screen, TOR's, and triple K&N's were installed.

I'm trying to talk the wife unit into letting me come. No definite answer yet..just loud noises and flying objects. So...that's a maybe until I come home to locked doors and changed locks.
Just kidding...I've belonged to her for over 37 years and she's pretty cool about riding. I think I can get it done.
