Rocket Won't Start

for what it is worth the early rockets
you can holt the throttle wide open and it will cut fuel/injectors in case your machine is flooded
flood clear mode
Thanks Turbo, it’s a 2014 model. I’ve taken the intake to the carbs off, can see the injectors working. I’ve changed the fuel in case it was that. The TPS has been set ok. Plugs taken out and all firing. Jumped extra battery on to ensure enough voltage. Only thing can think is not sparking at the right time but nothing has been touched. No faults coming up on tune ecu. Crankshaft position sensor was cleaned. Is there any other checks for it as take it may affect timing for spark. Thanks

the flood clear mod should work up to 2019
i have been having a problem in the morning when below 60 degrees she will not start and coils will not fire. i know this by using an old dwell meter (the best way of checking)
i have two batteries but still have have to turn on the big charger and knobs to 12volt crank assist and charge for a while then she turns real fast and then cranks up real fast.
maybe just my bike but i have to give it a little throttle.
i have this problem for a long time and am still working on it. i have several ideas just need the time to work on it .
i am leaning on a problem with the two batteries i have in the bike. i have two 2 awg cables i am going to install just got them and laying on my desk. waiting for the 2awg terminals to show up. also will be working on an manual set up to eliminate the stepper motor.
i have went thur so much working on this type of problem i think i can see the light at the end of the tunnel then maybe i will be able to help a lot of guys.

What’s the flood clear mod ? I have the tune ECU lead and thanks to you have the laptop program as discontinued from the supplier. Many thanks

if you think that the fuel is to much you twist the throttle to wot (wide open throttle) and that lets the ecu to stop the injectors from putting any gas into the cylinders and when you start easing off the throttle it will scream to life if it was flooded.

It seems as though I read about a problem like this once before. It turned out the tune in the ECU had gotten corrupted just enough to screw things up. Might I suggest you use TuneECU and reflash the ECU with a known good tune. With all you have done, it would be something I would try. It may solve your problem as desperate times call for desperate measures. My 2 cents...

Thanks, I haven’t uploaded a new tune to the ECU just used as a diagnostic tool. Where is the best place to re flash a standard tune from please. It’s not something I have done before. Thanks

My advice would be to go to the TuneECU.net website. Everything you need to know is on that site. There are various maps there that can be downloaded using the TuneECU app. I checked the website and the maps can be downloaded using the app. I believe they use to be .hex files. You would need a map specific to your bike, but I'm sure you would find it on the site. I flashed both of my Touring models with different maps for the mods I had on my bike, but it has been a while since I have done it. Fairly simple to do if you have the cable and a laptop with all the program stuff on it. If you have be using TuneECU, you may already have the stuff. I'm sure there are posts here on the forum that can help. I haven't worked with the latest program material and since I just bought a new GT. I'm afraid I won't be much help. All you need to know will be here with forum members or the website. If nothing has fixed your bike, I would consider flashing the ECU, but I don't know.
