Rocket lll Touring NO CONFIDENCE

Frankly I think this is your problem. Defective dealer more than defective bike.

The drain plug and shifter part - easy to damage by over tightening. If the mechanics look like Clyde in "Any Which Way but Loose" - you have your answer.

BUT - If you're not confident - move on.

I was getting really pissed off with tyre on my R3 and was close to getting rid of it.
Made one last effort with the front - and it's fine now.

But when homologation tests become part and parcel of ownership - still might have to.

Thought it was a bit rich posting up how 'crap' he thinks Rockets are on a Rocket Forum full of Owners that love their bikes like been said hard to blame any machine for what sounds a real lot like human error.

Didn't think Colarado's post warranted a reply.

Pretty much all been said. Colorado mate, you should just buy a Goldwing and try to be happy with that instead. But guess what, they're not idiot proof either.

Can't remember who it was but someone around here has the description for Colorado's syndrome and it indicates most motorcycle problems are direct result of the nut connecting the saddle to the handlebars. Lets simplify this, in the mail very soon you will receive an unmarked box containing a tracking device, simply remain quiet, place the tracking device on the bike and leave the beast unattended in a remote location of your choice and I will be there shortly to relieve you of this terrible hardship you have been so courageously enduring. Ride on friends!!

Thanks for the warning .. glad because I've got nearly 110,000 klms up on my Rocket so i'd better prepare myself for all these problems that are on there way .. i'd rather travel by donkey than ride a Goldwing but that's just me I know
TC, riding by donkey happens only in Mexico

May i sugest that he buys a Can Am Spyder? Then he will learn what high maintenence is all about, that stupid thing malfunctions on every long ride, still, my wife loves it and will nor get rid of it, the bad thing is that i have to pay the repair bills

Thanks for the warning amigo!!! You just saved me a $hitload of cash

I need a parts bike for a project so I will graciously offer you $500 for what is an obviously hopeless basket case
