Rocket in a van ?

My roadster went into the back of a Ford Transit, Dealer picked it up to do the headlight recall, dealer i got the bike from is 125klms away.
they just straped it down using 4 straps, but damaged the trim pannels going forward from the rear foot pegs, dealer bought me new parts to replace damaged ones - happy

Fred, why don't you just rent a small trailer and pull it with your truck or suv? much easier to load and safer in case you happen to have an accident

I have the number 3, actually 2 of them, bought them when i went to Cali a few months back, work very well with the rocket.

Have some stickers made that will cover the Uhaul logo on the van.

Inmate transport vehicle do not approach within 500 ft.
Free prostate and colon flush? HaHaHa people seeing that are likely to think it's an Obama Health Care van and swamp you with medical questions about an area of their body you don't want to hear about....

As a former U-Haul neighborhood dealer - I can neither confirm nor deny anything...

I can tell you they do have an open top trailer for bikes and rent pick-up trucks but the per day rental isn't going to be cheap. Good luck with it!

Fred Plywood wiht aharbor freight wheel chock bolted to it will be fine 4 straps are great and you can alway add more to the top going to the sides of the van to keep here upright . Overkill is not a bad thing. She will ride just fine windshield will come off in less then 5 minutes I take mine off all the time. As for the Mirrors I would wait until you get the van and see you might not have to pull them. Even though I tie mine down four ways I alway run two straps from each side of the back rest/luggage rack to make sure she stay upright. works everytime.

Lupe my good man. I just did a walk around and it appears I don't have a truck OR an suv. All I could find was (2) cars, neither of which, has a hitch (I should be a rapper ;-).
The cost of having a hitch installed and renting a trailer is about the same as renting the van. Going forward, the hitch probably wouldn't get used again. Eventually I plan to purchase a toy hauler so I can go farther away and ride without burning up all my vacation getting there. The problem is, even the smallest toy haulers are to heavy for my car to pull so I would still need a heavier duty vehicle.

As for you, I'm sure there are days when your stumbling around looking for a paint brush and you come across trucks and suv's you forgot you even had
