HEY , I really like it. I may have to give it a try with all the aging problems coming on. Would still get the thrill without worrying about dropping it. Does it have the reverse function though???
Don't generally like trikes...think they are pretty much for old men no longer able to ride real bikes...or unless they are powered by 800 hp V-8's...but this is pretty cool. Very seamless construction and nice paint. Well done.
The rear diff is also a gearbox and has a reverse. The differentia/gearboxl (Elite Racing Transmissions : Homepage ) are mainly designed for Kit and Racing cars but they also manufascture one for Trikes. The final drive gearing is as per the original Triumph Spec.
The original Yokes were replaced by those made by Grinnal (Trikes, Specialist Sports Cars and Kit Car Manufacturer ) these extend the rake angle of the forks forward, and this improves the steering. Rock steady with no shimmy at 70mph.
The Trike rides and handles well. I tried riding it as if I was in a car but feel more inclined to lean into the bends which seems to be at odds with Trikes. I guess this is to do with the fully independent rear suspension.
