Roadster test ride today

I know I mentioned this in the original post, but how light the bike felt up front and how easily it turns was a shock to me, my Touring feels much heavier up front at low speeds.

It needs bags, I like the Beatle bags from Corbin but they're pretty expensive.
I'm getting a pretty good price break on accessories, so I am looking at the roadster screen, long haul seat and passenger back rest.

Unfortunately the dealers here in Ca face a huge fine ($5000.00) if they sell or install after market pipes so I will need to pick those up out of State a d have them installed,
Looks like a road trip to Nevada is in order!

Now about those boots they are military boots that I bought for their lightweight qualities to help my foot out at work, I generally don't ride with them I made an exception yesterday and you all saw how that worked out for me....

I've pretty much decided to go for it when the dealer sweetened the deal by discounting the 7 yr extended warranty I all but made up my mind to do it..

Please get yourself a real pair of M/C boots. I am sure you can find some that fit your foot..

Wearing street boots is like wearing a fake helment, sooner or later it will catch up to you.

A good pair of M/C boots is worth more to me than a 7 yr warranty on the Rocket

Just an Ol'Mans advise..
 
Geez you guys are killing me!

I have real boots, I only wore those because my other boots are heavy and it hurts my foot to do a lot of walking and standing in them, and I wasn't riding all day, just five minutes........ I know it was a mistake I'll never do it again
Promise...
 
Jim just a thought as I am not sure it would fit but they made a Large brake pedal for the classics and I not sure but also maybe the Touring, even if the connection to master cylinder is different they might be able to marry the end of one to the roadster pedal
 
And the jeans, Jim. We're they Kevlar jeans? Did you have your helmet adjusted correctly? I did notice you checked your mirrors, so that at least you seem to have got right.
7 year warranty! That's definitely a worthwhile way to go.
Plus, with the long haul seat, you might want to consider getting the one that at least takes a rider backrest, even if you don't get the backrest straight up. Makes long trips much much more comfortable and you'll like it round town too.
 
might check out Rivco or Kuryakin I seem to remember one of them offering large brake pedals
 
Also Jim, never just pull out onto a street behind another vehicle figuring it's safe without looking left! Caught ya!

Also, I saw you fighting that left foot peg trying to get started. That's why I like floor boards. I've tried a Dyna style Harley with foot pegs. Not my thing. Give me a bagger with floor boards!

That t-shirt looks dangerously untucked to me?? Don't want to have it flapping in the breeze, could get snagged on the grip and pull your new bike over when you walk past
