hi there I have ordered a new roadster and collect it 1st March 13. It's not the absolute latest model with more black on it and the restriction removed on the first three gearsI have just bought of e bay a dual seat that was advertised as part number A9708164 which is the correct part number as the part shown on the Triumph configuration. the seat is fine ,as new and the chap says he bought it last year brand new. however the part number on the underside of the seat is A9700186 so I am confused and as I haven't got the bike yet I can't check it fits

anyone any ideas as to whether the seat I have will fit?

Regards

Mal

Don't know I'm afraid. For what it's worth, neither of those part numbers are on my dual touring seat on my '09 Standard (ie pre Roadster) although I have a suspicion the one you bought is not for a Roadster. Hope I'm wrong.

malcpig,
Perhaps you have ordered the correct seat. I found this one and it seems to be the same part number.

Hi Mal
I have the same part number on the seat on my 2010 Roadster. It is the optional touring seat and has provision for a backrest. I think it also requires a different bracket. I'll find my original seat and refresh my memory.

For what it's worth the seat is comfortable for about an hour at a time for me. I will eventually have it customised.

The packaging in which my touring seat came is marked "A9708164 Dual Seat, L/Haul Touring" but the label on the seat is A9700186. Looks like your seat will fit. A bracket came with the seat and is different from the stock one. Hope this helps. Brian.
