I purchased the cover last summer but never put it on. It's about time to knock the dust off the old Fat Bottom Girl and get the ridin' season started here in Northwest Missouri.

The cover was in the original packaging but the shrinkwrap was not completely intact. I see the double stick strip of adhesive on the inner face, located toward the forward end and I see 4 small holes (2 along the upper edge and 2 along the lower) toward the rear "heavy" end but there was nothing else in the package.

Was there any attachment items in the original packaging or is the double stick strip all that is intended to hold this cover on? I'm considering taking 2 small expansion springs and making very small hooks to "saddle" the cover onto the shaft housing.

Any input? Thanks.

See ya.

I used a large stainless hose camp to hold mine on. The cover should have had one or two springs with it to link the holes in the cover. This did not seem good enough to hold it so i used the clamp instead.

You are short of two springs that hold it on the drive shaft using those 4 holes along the edges, also should be a small chrome plate that sits on top of the shaft where it runs into the swinging arm.

Yeah, there are two springs that hold the shaft cover on. Mine has been on for a couple years now and hold on fine. The double stick is for a chrome triangular cover that sits on top of the arm by the pivot point. The holes are for the springs to wrap around the shaft. It sounds like you are missing parts.
