Removable Passenger Back Rest???

Has any one developed a system by which one could use the Triumph low or high passanger back rest/luggage rack and have a quick or even tool less removal in a short amount of time?

My wife rides only 10% of the time and the other 90% I love the look of the solo seat. I would love to simply re-attach the passanger seat that comes with the Rocket III (or even up grade to the gel passanger seat which I am told is larger) and slip on the chrome back rest/luggage rack and in a matter of 5 minutes have a bike comfortable fo rthe both of us.

R34ME gave me the measurements on the Corbin Rumble seat with the flip up back rest. But the passanger seating surface is only 8-1/4"x9". Not any bigger than the stock seat.

I have to admit, Harley did a wonderful job wih their accessories in this fashion. On their touring bikes...one must only flip 2 cam locks (no tools) and attach a back rest or tour pack...literally seconds...

'd love to find such a device for the Rocket III.

I've asked that question many a time. The answer I got is post photos when you find one. I ended up buying the Triumph back rest. I think you would have to customize one. Good luck.

I hate that also I had a company build the backrest into the second seat I lost a little space but not a ton. now I keep a sissy back there when I ride and no passanger

Check out my pics. in the photo gallery. The first rocket that I bought I built a backrest that was just perfect for me. I rode solo most of the time. But this backrest could be taken off and turned 180 degrees without tools( just lynch pins) and it would become a backrest for the back passenger. the only modification to the stock saddlebag brackets was to put in a one inch spacer between the fender and bag brackets. Of course you would also have to switch the backrest pad and the backrest storage bag. It was all made at my shop with solid 304 stainless steel. most of the pictures were taken before all of the final welding and grinding were complete. But in the end it was awsome for me.
I am cullently developing a more universal backrest package that will require no modifications at all and no mounted hardware, patent process underway. Hope this helps. Rademis
