Reband Pipes - LOUD

Good one Mittzy. Love that torque curve. Is that typical for that set up?
I think I must have one of the few bikes left in Australia with standard headers. :(

I don't know about the torque curve being typical mate. Just get yourself some pipes man!!

Impressive figures there Mitzzy, the torque line is outstanding and starts so early. I don't think you are going to get much mileage from your rear tyre. :)

A/F's look good too, so don't understand your problem, good luck with it.

Ric is sending some woven glass wool, cos he says it doesnt blow out of the pipes as easy because it is woven together ... I intend on wrapping the first layer with woven around the inner pipe (Perforated) then use rockwool on the second layer and bind it all together with wire then wrap a top layer over the wire to prevent resination.. just a thought.

I was impressed after I repacked the jards because it ran noticeably smoother, maybe it will be the same for you.
My old jards had a hole blown in the packing in the RH side baffle .
The new packing also cut down on the popping on deacceleration.

Gday there fellas, you can pack these things to be very quiet if thats your preference. As far as **** spitting out, you'll find that once you let is settle it will stop. Crack and pop etc, sounds like stepper motor but do yourself a favour, even if it looks as though all your vacuum hoses are on properly, go through every connection point and make sure everything is pushed in as firmly as it can be.

Headers are awesome from reband, collector is brilliant, muffler is all about individuality.....

As far as the tune, Nevs stuff as a base is generally as good as it gets, hence that stunning torque curve nice and early.

Mittzy, Do me a favour, go outside, jump on your bike, warm it up, then on a clean bit of road pull up, put her into 2nd gear, get her reving about 2750rpm then let her go and keep feeding her on holding 70-90% traction. Once you get into forth slow down or go to jail. Then do it 2-3 more times. Once youve done that come home. When you stop smiling hope back on and let us know what you think.;)......................
......Speak to you next week:D

hi Mittzy i'm doing my 06 r3 at neville with rebands but i'm doing some engine work as well 10:1 pistons and cams ext , i spoke to reband about loudness he told me under 94 DB as i don't like exhaust too loud i have staintune that are 93 DB witch i find nice sound not loud but if i take out restictors there 98DB way too loud for me.

Mate you are going to love the difference with the 10:1's and cams. Just make it clear you don't want it over 94DB and the guys will get it right.

I gotta say I love the pipes, but way louder the yours Anthony, I will repack to my taste, when i got the system there was NO mention from me about noise levels (My fault mostly) I think Ric may have thought I wanted to be noticed.

Not the best option for you Tony. You don't everyone watching when you dro............oops, sorry, wasn't going to mention that again. :p
