No, the earlier R3 like Classic without abs do not have provision for attaching the ABS detector ring found on 2010 onwards Roadsters.

Except for the machined place for the ABS sensor ring, they are the same, as far as I know. I have a late model (2015) rear wheel on one of my 05's. Fit perfect.
