Since this is a head light thread,
and the obvious Eastern Beaver relay mod has already been discussed,
I think I'll show you guys a pic of my new headlights.
No wait, not ready for public viewing yet...
they're "different" tho.....

I feel the same as Sixpack about my Roadster lights - while I agree that more watts will help, I think the optics of the reflector unit are bad, and the only way to sort this is to change the reflectors. 5 &3/4inch light units for H4 bulbs have been used in lots of cars and bikes, so there are plenty suppliers both new and s/h. The standard halogen bulbs should be bright enough if the optics are right. Remember the Cibie upgrades so popular in the 70's? It's all about the angle between dip and main beams produced by the design of the reflector..
I 'm on the trail of a pair so will let you know
Or there's always the new speed triple angular lights.......££££!

All it takes to fix the lights is the bypass relays, it brightens them up so much that the high and low beams overlap rather than one being too high and the other too low. If you haven't taken care of that problem yet you should do it first, it really does work well.
I have them and it's a first class up grade I leave for work at 5am and theres a lot of Deer about at that time of the morning it's saved me a few times now worth every penny
I would like to order the relay kit for my 06 classic. Which option works best battery with fuse holder, bare wire fuse panel connect or 3-circuit solution connection?
