R3 Headlight replacement bulbs?

Suggestions for replacement bulbs for the stockers?

Brand, wattage, links?

I would like a wider pattern and more intense/brighter beam. Would be nice if the hi-beam would reach into the next county. :wink: :twisted:

So what have you guys used as replacements.

RocketUK has fitted some super duper bright bulbs in his, but I didn't take much notice when he was telling me, as I very rarely ride at night. He, on the other hand is one of those mad ironbutt fellows. Xenons? Best give him a pm if he misses this thread.

I got the super blues. Didn't improve much, I find it even more spotty than before and I had to re-aim the lights afterwards.

What Helped was the fog/accessory lights. It's the way to go, many people found different solutions to this.
Some people have changed the bowl which seems to improve but you loose your front marker lights.

gl: I'm going for this when they finally get the darned things finished! It's spots and front turn signals! Kinda pricey but so is everything for bikes these days! You also have to purchase the two piece fork mounts that mount them.

Those are nice Native . . . you're right . . . a bit pricey, but would be awesome in looks and function I bet. :wink:

I've got PIAA bulbs on my R3. They were very very expensive at about 60 pounds for a pair but I like them as they've got the same white light as the driving lights.
