R3 Headlight replacement bulbs?

I just opted for the PIAA 70856 (H4 110/100W Xtreme White Plus Anti-Vibration PIAA Motorcycle Headlight Bulbs - 2 Pack) $72.24 USD. They're supposed to be a step up from the PIAA 70456 bulbs that KingOfFleece recommended.

I believe that the Anti-Vibration feature of the pricier PIAA bulbs is money well spent. We just have to wait and see how they light up.

I was considering the HID bulbs, but all the research just didn't add up to being the best solution. Yes they last longer. Yes they are brighter. Yes they are the most expensive. My research suggests that, although the intense white light illuminated the foreground extremely well, this actually diminishes one's peripheral vision, and also diminished the farther out "high beam" range, where one would actually have time to react to hazards or wildlife.

Time will tell and I'll post more later once I install and use them.

Have you had any problems running a high wattage bulb in your headlights?

is everything stock but the bulbs? or did you have to change out any wiring to handle the load?

Hey, Josie, don't be a smartass! 8) You're really being mean to us northerners. But, yes, you can rest assured that I will let you know. 8)

These bulbs are advertised as producing 110/100W of Light from only 60/55W Power Draw. I'm trying to find the specs of the standard bulb. One thing to keep in mind with these that I bought...they are supposed to be a tougher bulb "vibration resistant" If it's not a bogus claim, then I think it's important because of the increased life they should give. Life on a bike is hard or lightbulbs. Several members have indicated the need to replace bulbs frequently.
