2014 Triumph Rocket 3 Roadster
During the 2020 West RAA, I noticed it was hard to see the rear turn signals on the older incandescent Rockets, especially in the day time. The new Rocket LED turn signals 'pop' and it's easy to tell if the rider is going to turn. So I decided to upgrade my 2014 R3R rear turn signals on the cheap. I bought a pair of 1156 LED bulbs at the auto parts- about $20. Then I simply replaced the incandescent OEM bulbs with the LED. I switched the wires to the socket assembly because Triumph has the polarity opposite what an American car socket is. Now my rear turn signals are at least 4 times brighter. I didn't use a load equalizer, so they blink quicker than before. But I like the brisker rate of flash. It's more attention getting.
