2015 Triumph Rocket 3 Touring
I just brought this home the other day I'm giving my 2015 rocket 3 touring to my son I have 2 questions Number one the salesman said that I should never turn off the Main Ignition switch but I don't see that in the manual, and number 2 Will the same battery that was in my 2015 rocket 3 touring fit this bike as well?

Hi. The UK model does not have a main ignition switch like the US models. Think it is there just to satisfy US regulations.

Pretty sure as it’s only a US reg thing to isolate the battery in event of an accident, best to leave it on. Like any modern vehicle, if you disconnect power it throws a bunch of sensors out and will probably light up the dash like a Christmas tree until you ride it for a bit.

If that's true for the new R3's it mirror's the older R3T's. It specifically states in the owners manual the kill switch is for emergencies only (and could cause damage). CONGRATS! on the new arrival...

I believe what is stated is to not use the main power switch to turn off the engine. The bike should be shut down via the kill switch. Then you can turn the main power to off to help prevent theft. The TFT screen and CPU need to go through a shut-down cycle and the main power switch would prevent that.
