Come On Guys

This is a serious issue going on down there.....Taz.....I meant no disrespect when I referred to letters as being not the way to fight this problem......I think it will take both and lots of each to put the correct light on this law.

All M/C rider should pull together all over Australia to insure the laws are fair to everyone......."A house divided can not stand"

Name calling and hurtful remarks should not be part of this post...It really easy to get the wrong impression of what someone is really saying behind a key board.

Now with that said ....Stop all the insults and name calling ....before I getts Mad...Remember I am one mean ass old man...I fight about 3 times per week and I have not lost a fight in 7 or 8 yrs........The mall and the grocery store.....Them blue hair Ol' ladies are hell on wheels ...They make the 1% look like a Boy Scout Group

Yes I fight Dirty....with all my secrete weapons ..Harden wheels on my walker...for toes....2 oxygen tanks attached to the walker for total devastation on shin bones.... and last a double chew of Tabacca for gnawing on ears and noses...works even better now since I lost that last toof

Remember we are Rocket Riders...we ride the best M/C in the world and we all should try be as good as our Machines

Wow Tas, what you've just thrown away.........
Anyway, can anyone find the clip from Fawlty Towers where Basil is talking to the Major about the war - I know, it's somewhere in the "Germans episode". The Major says that he was against it. Basil says that everyone was against it and the Major says "But I wrote a letter". *** I wish I could find that.

My computers been playing up , f#ckin things been sending me message saying it's overheating and at risk of catching fire .only got it fixed this arvo. Maybe those 'hell comments' and the '70 year old Rabid Christian joke thing' ..hahaha

As far as 'ol mate Tas goes , think he's shown us who he really is .. like I said the other day just f#ckin ignore him. I can't be f#cked name-calling and slinging insults. No-one as far as I know has even met the bloke, let alone been for a ride with him ... have they ???

TC,

My response to your goading.

That cuts both ways so cut the BS and we will get on fine.

Don't give a jot about your internet friends (6!! so many & they know zip about me), don't forget all the lawyers and associates you know but cannot name, they can all PM me if they are for real?

5,000 posts on this forum alone (how many forums are you on?) and you reckon I am hiding behind a keyboard?

I agree to disagree with you Captain BS.

I belong to two Forums , this one and a Speed Triple Forum .... what lawyers and associates are you talking about ?
Captain BS .. what are you , 12 years old or something

TasRocketRider I think you have burned all your bridges into QLD before you needed them. Your loss.

F#cked if I know why he's trying to dump the blame for this crap in my lap .. he's been chopping away with negative comments on these 'bikie' related posts since they started. Blokes like him come and go .. as we have seen before. Start these squabbles then they are no more .. no biggie.

See Little Mick seems to have become the 'voice' of UMCQ ..

Put very simply, Joey, Australia's political system is a little bit like yours. Our States were all separate colonies that decided to federate in 1901. States still have their own governments with responsibility for things like schools, hospitals, law and order etc. The Australian government has responsibility for things like foreign affairs, trade, defence, immigration. State laws do not need to be uniform but do need to be consistent with any Commonwealth (ie Australian Government) laws.

Each state has a Premier, who is elected as head of Government.
The head of the Australian Government is the Prime Minister.

We are a constitutional monarchy. This means our constitution - which, like yours, is written (Britain has no written constitution) - determines that the Governor-General is our Head of State. The G-G is the Queens representative but, contra tarry to popular belief, the Queen is not actually our Head of State. All the powers under our constitution rest with the G-G and the Queen cannot exercise them even if she wanted to. As an aside, this actually means that the debate about Australia needing an Australian as head of state is actually based on a misunderstanding or misinformation perpetrated by politicians looking to distract people from bad policy.

Your Head or State and head of Government are one in the same; the President.

People say that the great thing about your constitution is that anyone can aspire to be president - well, if they're rich enough, connected enough etc.
The real strength of our system is that no one can aspire to be Head of State. Our G-G is appointed based on their suitability for the job, not popularity and therefore they have no promises to keep and no constituency to satisfy. They just need to do a good and impartial job of upholding our constitution. The last thing we need in that role is another bloody politician. The system works great and it would be a shame to *** it up just to get ride of a Queen who has no powers here anyway.
So basically only difference between Oz and the US is that the politicians have had 100+ more years here to **** everything up. States having their own rights with a very limited federal government was how it used to be here. Over the last 100 or so years while most people were not paying attention the federal government started expanding and taking control of things that should have been left to the states. Each new department spawned more departments and they in turn continued the process until we have the bloody mess that we are in today.

Be vigilant fellas, don't think for a second that it can't happen the same way down under. I would hate to see you make the same mistake and loose what you have now.
