Queensland Bikie Gangs

That sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi novel to me!

I don't see how it can be passed in your neck of the woods when it's been found unconstitutional in other parts of the country.

I sure hope y'all can get things set right for yourselves!

Rick

That's the "deep north" for you (remember, we're upside down......)

Tas , I have no intention of getting into an insult slinging match with you ok ... I've had half a dozen blokes PM me about you and what you've had to say and you ain't scoring any points on this one trust me .. let's leave it be and just agree to disagree.

Thanks for the information....T/C

So there is no one man elected to be over Australia...Each state has it own elected official, then they get together to set rules and laws of all of Australia.

Am I even close about this?

Tex...Now I have a better understanding of what is wrong with you in some of your posts....A Dang...Jar Head......No wonder:D:D

Just kidding with you...More than a few times I was never so glad to see a bunch of crazy Jar Heads coming to save my A$$...I am 100% sure I would have not been here now without them...
I will have to disagree with you about the brother hood.....as to right or wrong...once a brother drops below the standards of the oath you took as a Marine and continues to be below that oath...I in good faith can not support him....and I do not think you would either.

I am not talking about any of the BS trouble we all got into during our time in service.......I am referring to Drugs...Killings and way over the line things, that some of the people that are in the 1% bike gangs are into.

Mr Hunt is right about....if I am the first to be shot or Knocked out....there is little I can do ......But I will say this...I will not be the third one shot or knocked out.

As far as Riding in large groups to protest these laws....I think that is the Right way.......Larger groups of M/C will draw the media....Riding peaceful and not showing your A$$ blocking traffic, burning tires and calling bad press to what you are trying to do there will be a hell-o of a lot better than some letters. Let the media know when you plan on these big rides....I am sure that they can not have enough cops to arrest 2 to 4 K M/C rider at one time. But if they do try...the media will be there to show it.
It is going to boil down to a popular events.......Newman trying to show all the bad crap he can dig up to boost his agenda verse's the general M/C riders riding in very large groups saying that we are not what Mr Newman is trying to instill on to the general public. Just to gain some votes in the next election.

Put very simply, Joey, Australia's political system is a little bit like yours. Our States were all separate colonies that decided to federate in 1901. States still have their own governments with responsibility for things like schools, hospitals, law and order etc. The Australian government has responsibility for things like foreign affairs, trade, defence, immigration. State laws do not need to be uniform but do need to be consistent with any Commonwealth (ie Australian Government) laws.

Each state has a Premier, who is elected as head of Government.
The head of the Australian Government is the Prime Minister.

We are a constitutional monarchy. This means our constitution - which, like yours, is written (Britain has no written constitution) - determines that the Governor-General is our Head of State. The G-G is the Queens representative but, contra tarry to popular belief, the Queen is not actually our Head of State. All the powers under our constitution rest with the G-G and the Queen cannot exercise them even if she wanted to. As an aside, this actually means that the debate about Australia needing an Australian as head of state is actually based on a misunderstanding or misinformation perpetrated by politicians looking to distract people from bad policy.

Your Head or State and head of Government are one in the same; the President.

People say that the great thing about your constitution is that anyone can aspire to be president - well, if they're rich enough, connected enough etc.
The real strength of our system is that no one can aspire to be Head of State. Our G-G is appointed based on their suitability for the job, not popularity and therefore they have no promises to keep and no constituency to satisfy. They just need to do a good and impartial job of upholding our constitution. The last thing we need in that role is another bloody politician. The system works great and it would be a shame to *** it up just to get ride of a Queen who has no powers here anyway.

Thanks for helping me understand how your political systems work.....

Yes, I think we have a Great Constitution....But I also think that you are right about our President.......Money.....money....money and more money.

The absolute worst thing that has happened to this country is the ...Professional Politician. They are and will be the ruin of this country. I fear that it is already to late to stop the damage these clueless individuals has inflicted to our Great country. Each day they slowly try to undermine the Constitution with own personal agendas. I feel no one in Washington should be able to serve more than two terms....and I mean....NO ONE!!!
Most of them live like kings and live like leaches off the backs of the American people. They make more money in 1 week than most of the average American makes in 2 months, they vote in their own raises and benefits packages. Each one of them will receive 80 to 100% of their salary for life and full medical benefits for them an their families for life. I would bet most everything I own that not 5% of any of them could Not tell you how much a gallon of milk cost.

How in the Hell-o they keep getting elected is way beyond me....unless my thoughts on crooked election numbers are happening...with computers doing all the numbers now......it would be very easy to control these numbers by some very smart people and lots of money....So who is looking at these people that are running these computers ...but that is another thought I have had for a long time

I will spend some time looking at that web site you put up T/C....

Sorry for getting off topic...

UMC .. United Motorcycle Council .. another website if you want to have a read on what's happened and happening to the clubs here in Australia. Of course there's the PR stuff about " just a bunch of scallywags that get together to ride our bikes and sink a few cold ones" .. which is kind of partially true for a minority of the clubs .. not a true representation of the majority... anyway treat the PR stuff as just that !!

The U.M.C. held a press conference at Kangaroo Point Cliffs today don't know what was said. Media seemed to be more into reporting that the U.M.C. was game to poke it's head up in Q.L.D. than telling us what was going on.
Tell me if I'm wrong but the same day that the Bandido's and Finks decided to have a very public nuckle up wasn't there a dog squad copper shot in the face trying to arrest some drug dealer on the coast. Havn't heard anything more about that since it happened. Mabey thats not as serious as a punch up and standing around the cop shop yelling at them to let your mates go?

TC,

My response to your goading.

That cuts both ways so cut the BS and we will get on fine.

Don't give a jot about your internet friends (6!! so many & they know zip about me), don't forget all the lawyers and associates you know but cannot name, they can all PM me if they are for real?

5,000 posts on this forum alone (how many forums are you on?) and you reckon I am hiding behind a keyboard?

I agree to disagree with you Captain BS.
