Who's saying the laws are justified? The approach is wrong.
Letter writing is a key plank for a number of direct action organisations. Google Amnesty International, it works. "The pen is mightier than the sword" seems to ring a bell.
Dumb arse???? Rosa Parks was one woman who sat on a bus...the Black Panthers along with Martin Luther King were founded on the back of a handful of protesters who sat quietly in shops etc...ground swell of opinion to address injustice, intolerance and apathy at any level and across any context invariably starts from, well the ground up!!
Agree with the likes of Rosa Parks. Where is the clever direct action campaign by the Motorcycle Fraternity against these laws? They need a campaign that makes a difference not a mates motor bike rally on Sunday!!
Can't believe anyone who refers to any individual who takes a strong stand on his and others Human rights as a dumb arse approach. Guess we should all become sheep and follow along single file. Guess if we sit in a restaurant with our families and listen to a bunch of foul mouth ***s spewing profanity we should write a letter to the Restaurant owner. Sorry fellows but I am old school and believe in standing up for my rights and the rights of others. We as an Americans would be delusional to not think for one moment that the same thing couldn't happen on our home front. Hats off to my mates in OZ who take the initiative to go out and voice there opinions. Letters go in the trash strength in unity never will. Long live my mates in OZ!

What, you reckon they should storm parliament or block traffic or incite civil unrest? Do you serious believe that a group of bikers getting involved in a way that could be labelled unlawful or led to a violent confrontation would actually help? The politicians and media would love it but it would be completely counter productive. .

Newman rebuffed Fitzgerald's dire warning stating " I listen to the communities fears" .. even though only 7% thought 'bikie crime' was a concern. Anyone with half a brain knows the hysteria being created against the 'bikies' is just a smokescreen to have these repressive , totalitarian laws in place so the Government can use them to threaten anyone they choose to.
Nothing will stop this little turd .. he and his minions are a far greater threat to us than any "bikie gang" they are attempting to eradicate.

What I was saying was that doing something, no matter what the intention, that could be LABELLED (interpreted/misinterpreted) by others as being unlawful etc. Not referring to the act itself but how others might choose to use it against you. As I said, you need to read the words I used, not what you think i said.
