Pulled over yesterday

OC Pd in New Jersey use to leave a squad car with a mannequin at the main entrance to the town, about 2 month latter some one broke the window and stole it.

Here in the UK we have a points system..Get 12 points then it's usually a driving ban but up to the courts and the judge.Usually get caught for doing over 100mph then it's a ban..

We here have around 20 types of fixed speed cameras and mobile speed cameras used by police.Unmarked police cars and motorcycles that sneak up on you..Problem is that before you spot them it's usually too late.:( Police also have ANPR cameras which holds information on your vehicle ie road tax, mot, insurance details and more.

I think that it's best practice if you are stopped by a police office it's to be nice and not take the p**s.

The points are similar in the U.S. Fortunately back then they weren't all "linked" yet (days before computers did have their advantages ;) ). The U.S. Is "behind" or was when I left, on cameras. A lot of them have been struck down by courts in various measures, causing delays ;)
Luckily most of the tickets here in Europe don't cost points as long as they're less than 25km over except in construction zones. Over that, the points come fast and heavy with very large fines.

My first and last speeding ticket on the Rocket was 90 in a 45 mph zone about 4 years ago. I was just passing a couple of cars. 45 to 90 and back in a few seconds. Unfortunately, a motorcycle cop caught it on radar. He cited me for 65. I was really depressed after this. A 62 year old kid being slapped for misbehaving. I still speed occasionally, but am much more careful where and when.
