please watch your Blood pressure buddy I was not looking for an argument either and don't want have to go over there to your funeral because we are only discussing things here I am not looking for points I only come the forum to try and glean more info and to try and pass on info I have learned not mention trying to help people solve issues with thier bike
None taken on my behalf. I only repeated that line as I thought you may have missed it I even went on to say that triumph may have changed their stance on the power commanders remember as I said that is what I was told when I bought my bike and the PCV was not out yet

Nice try Hans :roll:Blood pressure if is fine, fit and healthy, so you miss out on the trip mate sorry.. but nice to know you care ;)

What is the best PC model for my 2005 R3 Classic

With all this talk on PC-3, and PC-V AKA PC-5, I am unsure what reach back capability PCV has to tie into a 2005 model year or is PC-3 the only answer ... any suggestions?

Currently run Triumph off road pipes with no CAT box. Heading to Black hills again for the rally this year, hope to dial it in better then it is now.

Thanks

If the PCV with AT works with a 07 Classic I think I would go that route eventually. Ill have to keep posted on this. I thought the PC3 was my only option until I started reading through this thread.

The PCV with Auto Tune will work on all models as they all ate basically the same plugs and the ECU differences in the touring and roadsters does not impact on the fueling, when you order it you need to ask for an 09 model year because that is the model year they developed it on but if you have doubt you can do as a few of us have done in the past and ring the tech help guys at DynoJet, the PCIII is redundant as far as the rockets go unless you want someone to dyno it for you. Read some of the other threads about the PCV + AT and you will see we have had great sucsesses with it if you decide to get one send me your e-mail and I will send my AFR map I developed for it

So if i read you right, a Dyno will not help with a PC-V,,, and the older PC-3 is more user friendly with Dyno analysis? I do not see how to message you with my email addy.

Click on my avitar and select private message, in regards to your ? Both the PCIII can be set up on a Dyno but a PCV can have an Auto Tuner attached which eliminates the need for a dyno

there are guys with 05's running the PCV with AT and using my AFR Map :)

pc111

Ok guys ;
I just bought a 07 r3 classic , it has a pc111 on it already with tors and cat delete. The guy i bought it from said the previous owner had it dyno tuned. I don't know what tune is in it . My ? is how do i find out. This is my first Triumph , but i like it so much i just went out and bought my son a o7 speed tripple, nice bike he loves it. Thats two bikes in three weeks. Spent just about all the cash i had from selling my camp. I have been riding and working on bikes and snowmobiles for about 30 years but this ecu is a learning process, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
thank you
rotax

Well Rotax, sense it has a PC3 on it my bet is it has the standard TORS with Cat delete map in it and everything else is changed thru the PC3. If he had been into the ecu you would have most likely got the cable with the bike. A easy way to see if it has a Classic map or standar is see if it will do over 125 mph if not its a Classic map. Standard model speed limiter is set at 138 mph I believe. If you test this be carefull 800 lbs is different at high speeds. Especially if you have a wind screen on her, the death wobble can scare the CaCa out of you.

Or if you are not quite that adventurous you could always just order the $15.00 cable if you have a laptop to hook the bike to... :D
I am not sure who did it, but the speed limit setting on my tourer was at 250. So seeing if it will do 125 might not be the best way to find out what tune you have, though it is the most fun way for sure... ;)
