backgound -- 06 w/TORs, CAT elimination and K&N airfilter. I have the correct tune from the stealership.

I'm aware that there is a certain degree of poping associated with this configuration but it seems rather excessive. I did all but destroy the "gasket" on one of the pipes during installation and I can feel some exhaust leak during idle ... would this be a contributing factor to the pronounced poping?

I am planning on replacing the gaskets ... should I expect improvement when this is fixed?

thanks to all!

Wouldn't have thought so, but more knowledgeable people than me will no doubt reply soon.

I think that the dealer installed tune is maybe not the best for your set up.

You need a custom tune with the Tuneboy software in my opinion.

Exhaust leak's are the main issue with exhaust popping you must fix this asap, you may still notice some slight decel popping, but it should be minimal.

poping ... popping ... is it popping or poping when its the pope-mobile???

quick question ... you indicated that it should be taken care of ASAP. is that something that will cause damage? i have the parts on order but i am still riding.

thanks again.
