I am having issues getting the PCV to work, I have A no fire situation with the unit hooked up, I disconnect it and the bike will fire right up. Talked to Dynojet and we did a firmware update but it didn't help. the gentleman was suppose to talk to the R&D tech and call me back but never did, I do plan on making another call tomorrow but am hoping someone here experienced the same issue and can let me know what I have done wrong. Any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

Terry

firstly was it running at all with the PCV + AT or has this been a problem since you hooked it up,
The square plug on the PCV which go in line at back of the mottor is it secure and did you hook up its other half ? I ask this as another member actually connected it up to an identical plug up on top of the mottor luckily we were having a conversation on the phone about another part of the installation when happen to mention that he connected itup and it was easy to get too (when the opposite is the case) I tweaked to what he was saying and following my instruction found the correct plug in the location behind the plastic infill if it had not been corrected the bike probally would not have run,
I hope this helps, but if you like to PM me your phone # I'll be happy to ring you and see if I can not help you more

Terry, I am the member Hans is referring too, I had connected the PCV to the wrong plug under the tank but fortunately while speaking to Hans I realized I had the wrong one, and it can tell you connecting it up to the correct plug on the left hand side behind the plastic cover was one hell of a job, for me anyway, but I got there in the end.
Once all connected the bike started first go.
I can only suggest following the fitting instruction carefully and all should be good.

Does it run WITHOUT A/T? or simply not at all with PCV?

Have you connected a PC to the PCV via USB? Does it connect?

Mine fired up first time. But getting to the right plug behind the motor is a real sod.

Will not start with PCV or PCV ant AT hooked in. Fires right up without them. have verified spark so it must not be allowing the injectors to cycle. I have connected to the PCV via USB cable and updated the firmware per Dynojet's suggestion, still no go. Have to wait for a weekday to contact Dynojet, no weekend hours I guess. I was just hoping someone else experienced the same thing and ended up finding the fix.

Thanks,

Terry

Terry this is very important
Answer Chris's and Hanso's questions They are the resident guru's on PCV with or without Auto tune.

Plus I want to learn also :D

The bike has not fired once with PCV or PCV w/AT. I do have the right wires as the large plug there is only one like it and the small two wire plug if the only one behind the fill in panel on left side of motor, shifter side. It will fire right away if I disconnect PCV and AT. I tried disconnecting just the AT and going back in the PCV and unchecking the box for AT and still no run. I pulled 3 plug wires, one per cyl, and cranked over with plugs grounded and they are firing which is why I suspect no fuel while on PCV w/AT. I have even tried 3 maps from DJ's website as well as the one Hans sent me. I checked all pins on both sets of plugs and all look good and straight, I was hoping I would find one or more bent over to explain the problem.

Thanks,

Terry

A question for you Terry, I am hoping the DynoJet techo staff have already verefied with you which model PCV they sent you, It should have been a 21-003 and the Auto Tune should have been a AT-200 if this is correct then I would suggest you have a dud as from what you have said and I am assumming you also connected the Earth/Negative to the battery negative, you have got everything connected correctly

Thanks Hans, I am an idiot, I failed to hook up the ground. I had another ground that I thought was the one for the PCV but wasn't. I have done so much wiring of lights, keyless ignition, as my switch failed last fall and Triumph basically said tough luck. I had checked the ground several times but just went down and pulled the PCV harness out and low and behold ground wire not connected. Thanks for all the help from everyone. I will admit it is less embarrassing having your stupidity pointed out online than it is in person. Now I just need to get all this snow gone so I can get her out and let it all work together.

Once again, Thanks to all

Dont be Embarrassed it is easy to do I only dawned on as it was the only part of your PCV we had not discussed. I have often said this and I mean It I love being able to help, I was keeping Jims (because I didn't want to embarss him but he came out and announced himself) identity secret and in his case it to was just simple mistake. But that is the beauty of this forum noone is going to judge you we are just here to help each other and share our passion for the Mighty Rocket:D
