ouch! new tire

Snuff what do you run on your truck or should I say on your bike. My truck tires are 250 a piece. If you pay more that that for a front tire I think I found a new buisness selling you tires for you R3 Wohoo I can retire after all:bch:
 
I have an '01 F150 with 60,000 miles with the original tires. And I still have quiet a bit of tread left, and they're Goodyears.

Honestly I have not had to buy tires for my 04 Dodge 4 x 4 Cummins yet. I have a little over 60'000 miles on my Michelins ( I'm almost sure I miss spelled that). I paid $400 for the rear out the door and about $280 out the door for the front. That's almost $700. I admit that I might be in for sticker schock when I have to get new tires for my truck, but I would'nt think that they would be much more than that. Would they?

The easiest way to do a wheelie with a pickup truck is to load a couple of tons of bagged redi-mix on the back with the tailgate down, put it low and drop the hammer....I guarantee you'll be looking at the sky....come oooooon.
 
Maybe it's just me but I don't understand this whole tire cost issue.

The tires on my Hummer H1 were $650 each + spare, that lasted about 40k miles unless I pushed them offroad.

A rear pair on my roadster is about $800, they last about 7k miles.

There is a price to pay for performance on any vehicle, I guess I just feel that tires are one of them, if I was that worried about it.

There is a solution to the tire cost problem, get a different bike.

Let me get this right, what you are saying is when the tire gets worn out, trade in the bike and get a new tire......kewl.

I'd imagine that anyone driving around in a Hummer don't have too much of a clue about conspicuous consumption.
