Okay so I had no problem with the bike yesterday on a 400 mile trip, this morning I went to get on it for work and made it about a mile down the rode when the oil dipstick was pushed out and oil started dumping down my leg. I didn't touch the dipstick this morning to even check it, I know shame on me I was running late. So I believe the oil is gravity feed to the bike from the tank , so could the hole from the tank be plugged or hose collapsed? Kind of need help since I have 1000 mile trip planned in two weeks on it.
no oil light , just pushing oil out of the tank when I was slowing down for turn, I turned around and made it back home, as long as I had revs on it oil didn't spill out but soon as I let off it pushed it out.
Sounds like a breather issue for sure to me considering all is normal when engine is spinning above idle.
Suggest first verify its not over filled, then check breather as mentioned, then valve cover gasket, if none of those are an issue start looking in the airbox, if you still have the stock one.
How many miles on the engine? Whenever we have oil blowing out of the dipstick in the diesel world, it's usually a plugged crankcase vent or over filled. The worst case scenario is worn out or broken rings allowing blowby to pressurize the crankcase. You're not running a blower/turbo?
Did one of the kids drop something in your oil tank and plug the drain?
