Oem Back rest and luggage rack rattle

G'day Rocketeers ,the OEM quick release back rest and rack on my 2011 R3T has an annoying rattle ,it only rattles if there is nothing on the rack ,I have checked out all the mounts and rubbers all ok ,there appears to be a lot of movement in the mounting points ,has any other Touring owners had this problem
,I can stop the rattle with a quick run with the Mig welder on a couple of spots, but want to retain the quick release feature
 
Put ear plugs in and drive faster that's what I do. Lol

Try un bolting the brackets and put one small flat washer behind each bolt between the fender and the chrome bracket.
Worked for me and it also moved the bracket away from the paint so it won't scratch it and cause rust.
This worked for me.
 
Thanks Jag,I will try the washer idea, I am partially deaf and ride too slow if nothing else works I will just fit the rack/backrest when I need it.
